最近じゃホームセンターなんかで当たり前に見かける様になりましたよね。
通路の上とかに吊ってありますよね「DYIコーナー」って。

DIY、Do it yourself つまり自分でやりましょうってコトですわな〜。

今年からは自分の義足は自分で調整管理しようと思いましてね。
おそらく義足歴が長い人は皆自分で調整してると思うんですが。

僕の場合、髄膜炎の合併症で腎不全も併発しまして、結果として両足を切断するに至った訳ですが、髄膜炎が一段落してリハビリの病院に転院し半年後、義足の完成間近の時期に再度髄膜炎になり、結局義足の完成がうやむやになってしまいましてね。経緯や詳細は書くと長いのでアレしときますが、最終的に再度の髄膜炎退院後の自宅に技師さんに寄ってもらって義足を完成させて頂きました。

本来はそういったことをしてもらえるのかは良く知りませんが、時間が有る時に家に寄ってもらって調整を続けて行き、最終的に完成へとこぎ着けたわけです。
完成後もたま〜に電話が来て「調子はどうですか？」と。
義足と言うよりかは足の断端の状態というのは日々変わって行くもので、調整してもらった時は調子が良いんですけど、しばらくすると色々と出て来る訳ですよ。
かといってすぐに来てもらえる訳でもないし、技師さんの都合に合わせて１週間も２週間も合わない義足で生活する訳で、なかなかの不便さですよね。
そんでもって、やっと技師さんの都合が付いて寄ってもらえてアチコチ調整してもらうんですが、正直言って時間が経ってみないと分からんのですよね。

僕が使っている義足ってのは膝から下のヤツでしてね、下腿義足って呼ばれる義足。僕の場合スネの上の方で切ったので、俗に言う「弁慶の泣き所」とは永遠にオサラバですよねw。ボクは泣きませんっ。って言うかスネ打って泣いてみてぇ〜な〜w、久しぶりに。

で、その残った短いスネの部分を硬いプラスチック的な素材で膝まで作り、その下にパイプで足首までを作り、更にその先に足部(ソクブ)を付けて僕の義足は成り立っております。考え方として正しいのかは知りませんが、僕が思うに要は「外骨格」的発想なんだなと。まぁ分かりやすく言うと、カニとかカブトムシと同じっちゅ〜コトですわw。内部に硬い骨を持つ人間とかと違って、ヤツらは身体の外側に骨の代わりになる硬いカラが有って、それを骨格代わりにしてる訳ですよ。きっと。僕の両足はカニやクワガタと同じですよとw。

そんで、スネ代わりのパイプの両端にはそれぞれ前後左右に調整可能なジョイントが有りまして、そこを色々調整してバランスを取っていく訳です。

プラスチック的な部分(ソケットと呼ばれてます)は、おそらく何らかの樹脂的な物で出来ているので、調整するにはドライヤーの親分みたいなヤツで熱を加えて樹脂を柔らかくして、結構強引に調整と言うよりかは変形させて行って修正してもらいますので、素人では難しいかなと。でも、パイプのジョイント部分はそれぞれ４つのイモネジで締めているだけなので、レンチさえ有れば簡単に調整が出来そうだなと。

自分で調整が出来ると、気の済むまで何度でも出来るし、しばらく歩いてみて気になる所が有ればすぐにまた調整出来るし、何より気を使わなくて良いし待たなくて良い。良いことずくめ。

調整は絶対自分ではやらないでくれと念を押されてたんですがw。
いえ、最初は言いつけを頑に守ってたんですがね、やっぱりネジが有ったら回してみたいのが男の子でしょw！部品はバラして見たいのが男の子でしょ!?
おかげで今は階段もスイスイですよ。

あともうちょっとな感じなんだよな〜。

痛いってのは有難いってコトでw。
それから断端の再形成の件ですが、僕の場合は感染症が特に懸念される事例だったので、おそらく特殊なケースかと思われます。

お名前の「まんじゅう」の所が水色になってて、おそらくメアド等のリンクを張って頂いたんだと思われますが、押してもアメブロだかアメーバだかのTOPページに飛ぶだけで、その後ログインか新規IDを求められるでけで、いまいち良く分かりません...。他の方も同様でして、もしかしたら当ブログの設定とかが間違っているのかも知れません。
